wisdom is worth all we lose to attain it. ~aucassin verdé
i wonder if the artist ever lives his life-—he is so busy recreating it. only as i write do i realize myself. i don't know what that does to life. ~anne sexton
you must acquire the trick of ignoring those who do not like you. in my experience, those who do not like you fall into two categories: the stupid and the envious. the stupid will like you in five years time. the envious, never.~john wilmot, 2nd earl of rochester

i said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing. wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing. there is yet faith; but the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting. wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought. so the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing. ~t.s. eliot

I love this. There's so much in what isn't said.
I feel like I've stumbled into a treasure house - there are too many beautiful lines/passages/images for me to pull out favorites.
Truly stunning.
I hope there's more to come.

This is absolutely beautiful!
Joni: There was more, but I forgot to take it out of the freezer to thaw. ;-)
Billie: A most hearty welcome to the Drachenhouse. Please visit as often as you wish and yes, there is more to come.
Gina: Thank you, however, I must confess--they are not my words. But I did arrange them like so many magnetic blocks.
My friend Cindy could not for the life of her get this little poem. She had to call me to explain what it was about. I say this because she did not get what I had alluded to in my remark to Gina above, perhaps too subtly, and in the photo of the refrigerator with something etched in the barren white upper portion of the door, that this was formed from a magnetic poetry word set. Just thought I'd make that clearer.
